Big News, straight from the horse’s mouth.

At a high level, our vision for the WillCall app is to provide useful information about local entertainment, and seamless access to it.  What we are trying to solve specifically is how to connect willing and excited people, using a mobile phone, to the greatest local shows, concerts and social events in town.  

Over the past few months since the WillCall app beta launch in San Francisco, we’ve seen great response from this first market test and we’ve learned a lot.  The most important lesson has been that there are a lot of excited people who don’t find out about many really great shows in a timely way.

Today, we’re happy to announce a seed round of $850k to help grow the team, and develop the product further to meet the needs of our users who are hungry for timely knowledge and simple access to the exciting shows happening in their own cities.  We’re super psyched about our great set of investors and advisors, many of whom have built great mobile and commerce products.

Our primary focus moving forward is to fulfill our users number one request: More content and shows.  A couple ways we’ll be doing this is to develop stronger relationships with venues and promoters, and also expand into new cities.
